Problem
A temperature sensor end user was having problems with their exhaust temperature sensing system on one of their ships. We were asked us to conduct a site visit to find out why the problems where occurring.
Our Solution
We conducted a visit to the 6300 ton dive support vessel. The temperature sensors and instrumentation were tested for any faults and errors.
We attempted to replicate the problems they were having and also checked for any other problems that could occur.
Outcome
We found that there was an incompatibility between the temperature sensors and the instrumentation that's was generating intermittent faults.
A report of our findings was sent to the customer for them to address.
