Often temperature sensors fail only due to one component. With significant material costs in heads, elements, sheaths and wires, it is often possible to collect and repair temperature sensors to an almost new condition. Care needs to be taken because of the obvious element contamination risks however for reasonably local customers this is often a viable money saving route. All metal has a scrap value at the end of its original product life. In the thermocouple industry platinum and its alloys is always of value. The cheapest way to buy platinum or rhodium is to offset the cost of any new metal requirement with old scrap. Peak Sensors is a significant market trader for platinum ans rhodium and can offer excellent recovery prices.

Calibration Peak Sensors will work to your specifications to provide certificates to show that your equipment is working well and to specification. Full system calibration, loop calibration and instrument checking can be quoted. Customers often require instrumentation to be calibrated, serviced or modified on site.

Temperature sensors can be calibrated to laboratory or full UKAS standards up to 1600°C. Any number of points or a full range can be quoted according to your requirements. A certificate will be issued with the sensors.

Furnace surveys can be carried out to demonstrate furnace uniformity. Your specification can be met, or the work can be done to any recognised standard. A certificate will be issued after work completion.
