Anti-vibration is when a temperature sensor is designed to be resilient to damage from sources of vibration. Many environmental factors can attack temperature sensors including, heat, chemicals or mechanical vibration. A vibration-resistant design sensor is often used in automotive or locomotive industries where vibration would often make a temperature sensor fail.
